We have been two days with on and off, mostly off, internet service. While it is back on, I will post!

THEY ACTUALLY BROKE GROUND TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

They actually started digging the foundation. Picture below!!

We are beyond excited. Ann and I went out to the land to put up a couple of signs. The house guy needs to ok the site, and we thought he might have trouble finding the place. So we made a sign and put it up.

If he cannot find it with that sign, he won’t ever find it. When we got to the site they were just about to begin digging. Have camera, will travel. The septic is not finished yet; they were waiting for a pipe, and I don’t know what the problem is. That is not the hurry anyway. As soon as we get the foundation done, we can have the house set up. Then we are really on a roll.

Off topic, but it is my blog, so I get to make up the rules! It was a beautiful day today, and I sat on the front porch for a long time reading. The squirrels mistook me for Arnold’s Drive in, and they came around my feet chattering. Remembering the happy squirrel eating a graham cracker, I went into the house and brought them some good ole Keebler grahams. Think they ate them? Nope. So I buckled and gave them peanuts. The blue jays like peanuts too.

The squirrels ate so much that they needed a nap.

Ok, since I have not been able to post for a few days, I will bore you with more pictures. I bought a new camera, a Nikon D80, and I am having a blast. It is a DLR Digital, and it is even better than my Mavicas. I would have never thought that possible.

I cannot identify the third one, but I thought it was great.
