Literally, I want to tell about the dump! We have no house news yet, but our contractor was heading to the county office today to find our what the hold up is.

The dump….we had the property cleaned up as the person who lived there before us just tossed everything into the woods. His little single wide was taken off the property, but some major junk was left (shoes, glass, foam, tires and much more). We had someone clean it up, and Ann and I loaded it into the truck and headed for the dump.

The dump is about ten miles or so north of Asheville, down a twisty road that runs next to the river. Just as the nausea reached its peak we arrived.

Fancy and well landscaped entrance. And then we get in line and waited and waited.

It cost us ten dollars to enter, and then we followed more twisty roads. There was an amazing view, which included many marlin houses. There were also a lot of what I thought were vultures hovering overhead.

When we got to the top it was as if we had been transported somewhere else. We were on this huge dirt mountain; well it was not dirt, it was dust. If the truck had not had four wheel drive I don’t know what we would have done. We might still be there, breathing in that awful dust. We had to back up to the edge of a dust cliff, and then we had to get out and dump our stuff.

This was the strangest place I have ever been, but I do not plan to ever return. I had dust in every single orifice. It was truly disgusting. I am only glad that we did not go in the middle of summer when the garbage was stinking and not just the land we were on.

I am so hoping to have foundation
