Lots of rain, and things work out

Well, we found out what the slow down was with our permit.  The county people did not know how we were going to get into the front door.  I swear!! They need everything in front of them and make no assumptions.  So, we said there was to be a porch with two steps.  Ok, now they can sleep.  We are suppose to get it today.  That would mean the foundation would begin on Monday morning, complete with me and my camera.

“How did things work out?” you asked. Well, it has rained for three days, heavy, loud rain.  The foundation cannot be done in the rain, and the land is a big red clay, mushy swamp, so they would not have been able to work anyway. It is suppose to rain today, and then the weather is suppose to turn sunny and hot again. So, things did work out.

One week of vacation over today, and I have not read a single book.
