I am finally feeling as if we are actually going to move.
I am going to post three photos right now, but I do not have time to write. I will do that later in the day. So, if you see these without comment, come back again later. I have lots to say!!!

All is good. We have most of our plumbing, lots of our electrical lines, and the grader (or is that grater?) is suppose to do his stuff this morning. That means the fence guy can finish, as can the plumber. Then the deck people can begin. We are on our way!!!!

The stud walls are up! They are not finished yet, but they are up. Most of the rooms do not have doorways, but they are up!!!! I think this house is going to change daily now. If all things fall into place, we will move in mid or early October. I cannot [...]

We have been dealing with electricians, plumbers and the rest all week. Some of them are ruthless. One threatened to have our permits pulled if we did not hire him. [...]
We have been really busy. Seems our fugitive contractor skipped an inspection. So, we had to arrange things that he should have done, and the things we already paid for and have to pay again, and get them done to pass a foundation inspection with a house already on the foundation. We had to [...]

It needs the porch overhang and the trim, but it is here!!! Inside it needs the framing, electric, plumbing, sheet rock, and flooring; but it is here!!!
It was an amazing process. Two trucks and a crane arrived…
Then they started hoisting, attaching, and securing.
So there it is: “Little Possum Manor in the Big Woods.”
It is late, and we hare hot and sweaty, so the photos will have to wait until tomorrow. But, we have a house, and we both love it.

Tomorrow is the day. We can only hope the foundation is what it is suppose to be for the house frame that is coming. Hopefully I will have lots of photos of the frame going up tomorrow.

No pictures today, but I have a story. We got a call yesterday morning from the foreman of three of the projects our contractor has going. Seems during the weekend, the contractor went to all sites, removed all tools, and has FLOWN THE COOP! Any money he has not used toward our house [...]
