We are at a stand still. The only thing that has changed on the property is the amount of poop the neighborhood pack of dogs has left on our driveway, or what will be our driveway.

Our plumber has his inspection.

The electrician is waiting for the framer to finish to put in his last light switch. Then he can get his rough inspection.

The HVAC (heat, ventilation, air conditioning I learned) guys will finish in a day or two, if the framer is finished.

The old framer did such a horrible job that we have someone else coming in to fix his mess. He says he will be there tomorrow. I will believe it when I see him there. He will also finally put in our doors. At least the pack of dogs will not be able to get in and play poker as they pose for more of those black velvet paintings.

I think the roof overhangs have to be up for the framing inspection also, but once that is done and the heat and electric inspections are passed, we can then put in our request for underground electrical. That takes 3-5 weeks. We are hoping it will happen quicker, though. We then have the insulation put in, which takes a day; and then we get the dry wall done, which will take a week. On to the final inspection and we paint, put down the flooring, and move in.

Oh, the well guy has to trench the line, and the guy has to come and attach the water and septic to the house. Sounds like a lot, but it really isn’t.

If we get doors tomorrow, you will see it here. Keep your fingers crossed.
