Well, sort of….

This is what we saw when we arrived today, and boy did it thrill us!!!

But it ended up not quite what we had hoped for, but better than we were afraid of. We have a door!!!!!!

If you look really, really carefully, you can see Ann has written Possum Manor in the dust. This door will be painted green or white, we have not yet decided. The French doors on the back were not put in, but again we are promised tomorrow. We just found out our electrician will be out of town for a little over a week, so there is nothing we can do but wait…..well, and get everything else finished.

The guy came to put in the water pressure tank, the conditioner, and the line to the well. Seems they could not find the old one, so they had to put a new one in. There is a company we can call that will come out and find it, so we are told. That way we will not have to go through the trouble of hiring someone to bury 250 feet of wire.

Under the house is our mechanical room. It is actually about eight or ten feet high. I was in it for the first time today, looking at the new conditioner and pressure pump. Quite the room. Of course, we will not be storing anything in there as it has a dirt floor, but it is still interesting. All the wires and pipes and heating equipment are there, and all very accessible.

This is where our back deck is going to go…….someday!
