I’d first like to write off my usually Possum Manor topic. At school, we are asked to post our schedule outside of our doors. Some teachers have these graphically beautiful posters; however, since I am artistically challenged, I usually search the web for an appropriate picture to go along with my schedule. This year I found the photo I will post below.
I swear to you that I have actually had students come in and ask if that is me!! I tell them it is my senior picture. They usually accept the answer and go one with their business. DUH!
The house. What a wonderful mess it is. I only wish I had more time to enjoy the colors outside. We have hit peak color in the mountains, and it is amazing. No matter what window you look out, you see color. I have found my camera, and I will take photos when I get home this afternoon. That is unless this stupid time change makes it dark at 4PM.
Today the gutters are suppose to be installed. Not a big deal you say, but when it rains the water just comes down the steep roof and we really had a red clay mud problem two weeks ago. We now have to wait until the phone and cable lines are buried to put down the road bond. That will greatly improve the driveway. We only hope it does not rain before that.
The carpet comes for the third time tomorrow. Let it be right this time. We really have not been able to begin unpacking the pod because we cannot bring more upstairs where the carpet will be. There is enough for them to move already. Carpet means we can set up the office and the new computer. I cannot wait. I think this new computer has so many extras that it substitutes for a bread machine and rice cooker. Speaking of stuff….we have waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much furniture. I have no idea what we are going to do. My concern, silly as it is, is that there will be no room for the twenty foot Christmas tree we had planned on getting.
We bought our downstairs flooring this weekend. We are putting the non hardwood stuff down. It is really pretty and rustic looking, but we had to hall twenty-two boxes into the house to store it. And we wonder why we are crowded? We need to have/buy some vinyl for the laundry room also. We were going to but a half bath in the laundry room but have decided to make it a mini greenhouse instead. There is a huge window in there, and who wants to use a bathroom that has a washer and dryer in it? We do have a undone bathroom upstairs, and the sooner we have that done the better.
We have about fifteen partial cans of paint to haul into the crawl space. We have enough lumber left to build a small village, and who knows what we will do with that. Oh, good news…..we finally took all the hang up clothes out of my car!!!
Have a good day all!

It will all come together quicker than you anticipate and it will be gorgeous!
We have opposing problems. Where you have too much furniture, we need some…Mom and Randall are putting wood laminate down in our kitchen, LR and hopefully hallway on the 17th and our stained, old, couch and chairs are gonna look just plain hideous afterward. It will have to hold out until Feb at the earliest before we will be able to get new.
How are the animals liking the new place?

They love it!!! The dogs run through the trees. Brando tries to bring in big logs. Come see us and our mess.
