We have been at wits end ( the normal address for us lately) about how to arrange the downstairs furniture. We were not in a real rush since we knew we would have to un-arrange it when the floor went down on Saturday. We want to include our little stove/fire place just for secondary heat. We are in the woods, and I am betting the power goes out once or twice this winter. We realized that our kitchen island was not feasible, since there is just no room, so we took one of the island cabinets and put it on the cabinet wall in the kitchen. It actually looks better there. Then we will put the second island cabinet in the laundry room. We even have the counter top for it.
I will take photos after the weekend; when it looks good. We have to call to have the stove installed through the wall. We don’t take chances with fire. So, we will not have the secondary source of heat for a few weeks. We also need to think about a generator.
I had an odd experience yesterday. I was in my classroom and my eye tooth fell out. Well, it was a cap with a post, but still…it FELL out, post and all. It was quite a shock, to say the least. I called my dentist who said he could take me in the middle of January, as they were really booked up. So, I asked for a referral, and they gave me three. I called the first one and have an appointment today at four. I am hoping it just needs to be glued in, but I know in my heart these things do not last twenty years, and I will be making an appointment for a new one. They are closed next week, so I am really just expecting a cementing today. I have in the meantime bought some tooth cement and am being very, very careful. I was so afraid I would swallow it during the night.
While I am rambling….it was so darn warm last night that we considered turning on the air. We instead opened the one window with a screen ( the others are there, just not put back in yet.) and turned on all the overhead fans. Today night is suppose to be in the twenties. I think that will be much better.

Dentist went ok, as dentists go. They glued/cemented the thing back in. Said if it came out again I would have to have the whole thing redone.

Only you would lose an eye tooth at school. Were you talking and did you smoothly spit it into your hand and keep going? Glad you found a les busy dentist. And–if you need another referral I 100% recommend Jeff Efird.
Glad your house plans are going so well. Isit in in Sandy Mush area? Will you ever retire? And doesn’t Erwin HS location and special needs sound more appealing???
