I am fantasizing of the day I get to sit out on the deck and do nothing for fifteen minutes.
We really got horrible advice early on and should have had this done before the drywall and all that stuff. The guy who was going to do it said it was not a problem to do it later, and we needed to cut back on the money at the time. So, we believed him. Now he is no longer working for us…add him to a long line of people we kindly asked to leave…and we find out it is a bigger project that we thought. Now add that we cannot find the faucet for the vessel sink. Grr..I know I have seen it since we moved in. I have looked in every box stored in what is to be the guest room. So, we called California yesterday to order a new one. We did not get a hold of the guy, but will today. That delays the installation a bit. They are only special order at Lowes, and three times the price, so that was not an option. I know that the minute we buy the new one we will find the first one. I guess we will put it on ebay, unless we know someone who needs one.
I spoke with the deck guy yesterday who said he had hired a third person to work on Saturday. I am really excited. With Larry and I trimming the inside windows Saturday also, this house should make an amazing transformation. ( I use the word amazing a lot.)
Brando…silly Brando….We had our first puppy lesson on Sunday. He was so excited to be in the PetSmart store that he could not stand on the flooring. His feet kept going out from under him as he looked like he might have been on ice. There are only five dogs in his class, special education classes are often smaller, and he is the biggest. There are two others that are not really small dogs, and two itty bitty ones. The smallest continually tried to hump all the others. Brando did well in the beginning where they dogs were allowed to walk around the room and do as they wanted. He was social and never caused a problem……Then the dog treats came out and Brando showed his true self. This is a sixty pound dog that acts as if he has never had meal in his life. The good thing is that he showed that aggressive side toward food, and the teacher will teach me what to do about it. Half way through the hour Brando decided he was done. He went to the door and barked to go out. When that did not work, he went to the plexi glass viewing area and tried to go though it. (The teacher called him dufus; I am considering suing.) It was rather amusing. He slept all the way home in the car. Next Sunday the lesson is sit and roll over. I better warm up before the class; I haven’t rolled over in a long time.
