I went to the dentist today, and I know nothing more except I am still in pain. I have a consultation with the root canal guy on Thursday. Seems a tooth that was root canaled years ago is making the problem and might have to be done again. Icky.

Anyway, I have begun the tedious process of reloading all my photos. If I can even do a month of pictures a day it will take me weeks. But, I really want to do it.

Ok, Brando went to puppy school and had to sit in puppy jail most of the time. They put this fence in front of us so that Brando could not kill or maim the other dogs. We could still participate, but were not within teeth range. Brando, by the way, was the first dog to learn lay down. By the end of the class he was not trying to chew up the others. Small improvement, but improvement just the same.

The guy who is doing our deck is amazing. He has the posts up and enough of the floor to allow the dogs and cats out of the new pet door. The deck is very sturdy, but even better than that, it looks good.

Those are just temporary steps. There will be a three foot square platform where the stairs are now, and the steps will head forward from there.

We have been looking forward to a pet door for a long time. Sometimes these dogs are here for ten hours without going out, and we both think that is too long a time. So, now they can go in and out…that is when they are no longer afraid of it. Brando was the first and Xena the second. RD, however, will only go through it if you lift up the rubber door.

Ann’s brother Larry and I did most of the downstairs window trim last weekend. It is really making the house seem finished.

One of my favorite things is the laundry room. We made shelves for the plants within the framing of the window. The front porch will soon cover the entire front of the house, and this will no longer we direct sun, but we think it is great anyway. My African Violets do not like direct sun anyway. At least they say they don’t.

I really like the shelves in the laundry room, too!
