I am having a not do much day. It is what I want. I did do my taxes, which was really frightening, but they are done, so now it is an all happy day!
I began my day with a decadent breakfast of a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin and some chocolate covered strawberries. The strawberries were a surprise left in the kitchen this morning by Ann.
This picture is a tad blurry, but I was a bit blurry as it was only 5:30 AM. It was a wonderful breakfast. Ann also left me one of the most beautiful bird feeders I have ever seen. It is cedar and will sit on a post in our soon to be front yard. Feeding the birds is one of my favorite things.
Thought I would head down memory lane. I feel as if I should remember when each of these was taken, but I do not. That kind of makes me sad.
First is a photo of my father and I. He looks like something out of the Sopranos, Detroit style.

I am not sure the years of the following, so some may be out of order.
This next one is a photo of my brother, sister, and I. I am guessing I am about five, which would make David 3, and Diane 1. David’s grandson Connor is the spitting image of him at that age.

This photo shows one of my future hobbies…..

And certainly, this next one showed my future love of travel..
These are funny. The next one was taken at the Detroit Zoo. There are so many pictures of me in a dress. Ironically, I don’t think I have had a dress on in fifteen years!!

Someone should have called the Hair Police on my parents for those horrible bangs. The bangs in the one picture are at such an angle. And why so high on my forehead?
This last family photo scanned blurry. It is of my dad (notice the cigar in his mouth), Diane, and me. I am thirteen or fourteen. Each year my parents would take us to canoe on the AuSauble River. We would rent two canoes and split up. One of the canoes would have the dog. Each year it was the same thing. The dog would bark and cry when the other canoe was behind or ahead. When the canoes were side by side he would jump out of the canoe and swim to the other canoe. This would repeat over and over again. Year after year. Honestly, I look back at those mini-vacations as punishment.
Well, that is a piece of the old me, from the old me. lol. Maybe I will actually do something useful today….naw, on second thought, I am going to relax.

Dianna, you make me laugh every time! I had so forgotten about that birthday at the Japanese restaurant. Mount Fuji or something like that. The man came up behind me, raised my hands over my head and shouted three times. Each time he would jerk my arms in the air. I was sooooooooooooo embarrassed. Good meal though.
Remember when I went up in that parachute ride at Great Adventure and I yelled, ” I hate you for this!” to your mother as it was falling toward the ground? hahahaha
