Leaps and bounds; leaps and bounds!!
Ann got the front yard seeded. She is meticulous. It took her two afternoons, but she got it done.
You can see her line in pink. That is the line for the porch. Well, two feet of it will be plants and the other eight feet will be covered porch.( It does not look it, but the from that pink line to the house is ten feet.) Our new door arrived today, so hopefully it will be put in this weekend when the porch is started. We do not have a large front yard, but we also have a side yard that will be divided into sections. Closest to the house will be a stone walk to the gate, next will be grass, then another stone area where we will have the fire pit, and then an area for Ann’s truck. I will get that on film tomorrow.
This is a picture of something similar to Ann’s fire pit, which I now see are called fire bowls. The main difference of hers and the one in the photo is that the flat area around the bowl, on Ann’s, is granite. Heavy bugger,

We took all the extra stuff in the house, well most of it, to storage. I started making the guest room look as if a guest might want to stay in it. When I was putting the screen in the window, the cats thought they might jump from the deck to the window. I discouraged them since it was much to far, but I got a couple of pretty funny photos. Maudie is sitting on the ole ratty hot tub cover. We are hoping the new one comes in when the guy comes out this week to repair the hot tub.

I call it a fire pit, but I think they call them fire bowls. It is round and has granite around it. I bought it for Ann for Christmas a few years ago, and we have used it once. We are going to set it up here with seating around it. I guess we will toast marshmallows and drink beer and get so smoky smelling that we have to take a shower when we come in. At least that is what happened the one time we used it.
Ann has been using it already to burn all the odds and ends of lumber that have been left.
I just found a picture of a similar fire bowl to the one Ann has. I will put it up.
