Spring has hit Possom Manor!!!!

We have been graded, and today will are going to seed the front and side lawns. But other than that we thought all flowers and plants would have to wait until we were clear of any possible freezes…which means the middle or end or April here. But, I found spring in our yard this morning!!!!!

It just makes it seem as if we are actually going to get spring, though the weather predicts rain and snow for Monday. The front porch was suppose to be started today, but the carpenter is sick. It worked out just as well, as Larry and I finished framing the windows, putting the molding down in the living area, and hung a much needed bathroom door. It is getting to feel as if we just might finish some time soon.

Here is the lumber waiting to be made into a full covered front porch (8 x 32).

And finally, a picture of the back of the house, from the deck. Note the dogs had to play right in the picture. The hot tub is going to be fixed this next week, and the new cover is on order.

By the way, it was 68 degrees and sunny today. We had lunch out on the deck. Ok, so I wore a jacket, but we ate out there just the same.
