No photos, but some newsy stuff
*The grading is almost complete. I have been taking photos, but I want to wait unit I can morph them.
* The hot tub is now connected, but we have to clean it and fill it before we can use it. I have to stop and get a hose long enough today, and then we will take care of it. Maybe by tomorrow we will be soaking….actually there are suppose to be thunderstorms tomorrow, so it might have to wait until Sunday.
* The trees are budding. I cannot wait for leaves. We moved in when the leaves were falling from the the trees at the end of October. I remember while the construction was going on that it was like being in a tree house with leaves at each window. Cannot wait.
* I am actually going to work on the guest room this weekend. We really have come to a halt inside; psychologically, I am sure it was as if nothing was really ever going to be finished, so what the heck. No excuses now.
* I am being bullied by a mother at school. She just doesn’t know who she is dealing with, does she? All over the fact that I do not want her daughter to hand in work written in pink or neon orange gel pen. Ever try to read that crap? At open house this lady told me that by me not accepting homework three weeks late, I was telling her daughter that I had control and that I was in charge. You all know what my response to her was….”I am in control. I am in charge.” Duh…. This lady has three daughters in the high school and picks control fights each semester. I guess it is my turn. The daughter I have is actually a nice kid. She is smart and not a behavior problem at all. But, what the kid knows is that if she messes up, she can go home and get her mom riled at the teacher, which in turn takes her out of spotlight and now her mess is forgotten. The mom should have let her work this out herself. Just give her a black pen, easy as that.
*I am writing this in the dark, as I was too lazy to turn a light on. I am proud of the fact that I can type punctuation. Not usually first try though, especially the question mark. Maybe I should have used pink or neon orange font color.
Have a great Friday. I am getting so excited about visitors. I want to show what we have done.

I am hoping the principal is backing you up on this. Especially if this parent is known as a trouble maker.
And for the record, I agree with you on the pink/orange neon gel pens. Those things are horrible!!

Principal is totally behind me and the other teachers this mother attacks. What I do each day is give the girl a black pen to use in class, and then I collect it at the end of the period. She is a nice kid, who just happens to have a crazy mother. I am not going to let her fail because of her mother, but I will not read orange gel pen either.
