It rained Saturday, so no construction headway was made. It was such a dreary day that I felt the need to nap for a great part of the afternoon. Today, Sunday, is a bit better but I have not had the want to much of anything. I am working inside the house, and it is really coming together.
I am trying to grow things. When we put the trim on the windows, we made a greenhouse in the laundry room. When the porch is up, it will only be indirect light, and most of these plants will be in the ground by then. The African Violets will stay in the house, but they like indirect light, so I am told.
One of my African Violets actually has a bloom-to-be. These buggers have not bloomed in over a year, so I am working hard to bring them back to their beauty. They are healthy, just no flowers.
This next tray of plants will eventually be planted out doors. It is just too soon for them to be planted now, so I will try to keep them alive until the big day.
The tall ones are dwarf lilacs. The short ones in front of them are lavender. I love lavender. The front are dwarf clematis. I can spell it but I sure cannot say it. Everyone pronounces that plant differently.
Now, my real challenge this season are the tomato plants I am growing, FROM SEED. They are to be put into these hanging bags. They are the cherry tomatoes, which are my favorite. I also will be trying strawberry plants in bags, but the seeds have to sit in the frig for three to four weeks before they can even be planted indoors.

I saw those growing bags on TV. Let me know if they work.
WOW…….Miss green thumb……can’t wait to see all the flowers in bloom and wish i lived closer to taste the tomatoes and strawberries and this one plant dwarf clematis, I wouldn’t even begin to try and pronounce that one right…..lol ;~)
