Where did the week go? We went out to Possum Manor West on Wednesday to supervise the fence installation. That is a job I would not want. Wow, that is hard work digging those post holes. This weekend I have a lot planned. I am going to paint the bathroom and laundry room and put down the molding. I am going to put white molding of some kind around the shower; because it was put up after the walls were finished, we need to cover the frame of the shower. I was given a gift card to Lowes the other day for some travel agency work I did (I do travel agency stuff on the side.), and I bought myself a miter saw so that I could finish trim. Larry always brought his over, but it will be nice to have one of our own. Anyway, I will finish the trim in those two rooms. If I still have time, I am going to paint the guest room. It has trim already, but needs to be painted. That is a good size room, so that will be a big job. After that, I think we can call the carpet cleaners finally, because we are done. Well, the tile will not be glued down, but that will happen in time. We still have some landscaping to do, but that will not take long. Wow, It has been just over a year since we bought the property;we broke ground on June 22. The contractor skipped town on August 7. It has been quite a year!!

When we went out to Possum Manor West on Wednesday, we did not have to leave as early as either one of normally does. As we were about to leave I took a few photos. I always feel sorry for the dogs being left here alone all day. They have the dog door, so they can go in and out when they want to bark at nothing, but I thought they pined for us all day. Heck, these were taken about a half hour after the time I usually leave the house. Poor dogs sure are pining for us!

Our carpenter, Mike, calls Brando “Knucklehead.” Perfect.

The only reason RD is not up on the bed is that he has trouble jumping now a days. We bought those stairs that are advertised to help dogs get up on the bed or into the car, but he will not use them. Brando uses them. Duh!

While I am typing, Xena came in and went to sleep on the couch. How do dogs learn to use pillows? It is a bit blurry, but I don’t have my contacts in, and with Xena you do not get a second picture. She thinks the camera steals her soul or something.
