Finishing a house is exhausting!!!

We are really nearing the end of all things to be done here at Possum Manor. I worked yesterday on finishing the upstairs bathroom, but I did not complete the molding. I got it all cut, but I did not nail it down. I will do that this morning, put everything back, mop the floor, and then it is done. I have to go to Lowes this morning to get the molding for the laundry room, so this afternoon I will paint that. The hard part will be getting everything out of the laundryroom and then putting it back. It will mean I have to clean the kitty litter too. UGH

Next weekend the guy will put the shingles on the porch roof, and his father will load all the construction junk up and take it to the dump. I will take a before and after photo next week to show what a difference that will make. The carpet/furniture cleaners will come out the following week. Ann has a few plants left to put in; I think the shrubs might wait until fall. Then when we amass a bit of money we will have the driveway guy come out to move back the line and to put more road bond on the spot where the truck is parked. Oh, I have to paint the guest room too. That sounds like a lot, but when you look at what we have done since we moved in here….it is nothing!!!!

Brando is still a rotten dog. If you pet one of the other dogs, he comes by and chews on them. He will hold a dog treat for an hour and growl at any dog that happens to walk by. That is when we take it from him. Major fights have broken out here because of his hording…and all with him starting them!!
He is really just a baby and can be very sweet when all the planets are aligned properly. His first toy was one of those long stuffed dogs. The other day I got him a new one (it must be his fifth), and he was so excited. He strutted around for a while and then proceeded to rip out its guts. He had the front half left. Here he is with his “baby.”
