Possum Manor is open for business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, except for a few things that will happen as they happen. The guest room is still not painted, but when a guest closes his or her eyes, who knows it is not painted?! Twenty feet of the driveway that is right in front of the house is going to be graded back to make more lawn. I really don’t think we envisioned just how close to the cars the porch would be. That will be done right after the telethon to raise money.
This is one of the “BEFORE” photos of the driveway. It does not look like as much construction junk as it really was. There is now room for three cars in a row, and we will now be able to turn around in the driveway without hitting something. I scratched my rear bumper the second day I had my car! But, I do have a friend who hit the only tree in Oklahoma, so I don’t know if hitting debris is so horrible!
This is another “BEFORE” photo. I took this about seven o’clock in the morning, and it was threatening rain. It turned out to be a very pretty day,
TADA!!!!! The only thing left is our fire pit and the landscape timbers, which we will move and place where they need to be.
This is all back deck debris and some pickets, which I have no idea what they were doing back there. That is a saw covered up, and no it is not going to the landfill.
This is the “AFTER” photo, and wow what a difference. They even uncovered two canvas chairs. I have since washed them and they are ready to go on our vacation to the Outer Banks (next blog).

This is the side view now. What a relief to have all that gone. I just wish I had thought to take a picture of the trailer when it left. It was amazing how much stuff there was.
My cherry tomato plants are producing. I have three, so my crop will certainly be enough to feed the community.
This is a photo from the back deck. The mountain laurels are now in bloom, which is interesting, since they don’t get that much sun. What I really like is that you cannot see the fence. The guy talked us into what they call field fence, and he was right. It blends right in with the trees and plants. I can see a metal post or two (they are green), but only because I know where they are.
