Roseanna and Dianna left this morning, and I am missing them already. I had forgotten how we clicked, and it was a wonderful visit. The weather was really strange but cooperated fully. It would pour rain (and I mean pour) until we had to get out of the car or out of a building. Then the sky would clear up.

The first day we did not leave. We sat around and laughed and remembered funny times. One funny time was the time I invented putting milk in hot tea, or at least I thought I had invented it! We played cards, and Ann made her famous southern chicken dinner.

Wednesday we took the LaZoom tour of Asheville. I recommend it fully. It is a comedy tour of the city, and it was a hoot! I will post a few of the photos.

I would hate to ruin the jokes of the tour, so I will not even explain the photos, but I will say, “GO on the tour!”

On Thursday we went into Cheroke to visit the Oconaluftee Indian Village. It is an outdoor museum that shows the way of life of the Cherokee people prior to the Trail of Tears. I alway find it interesting, and it is different each time depending on the guide. This summer they are reenacting “Time of War.” It was amazing. We were lucky as it is not preformed every day. It was so realistic that I had the urge to throw a stone at one of the soldiers!

This is Roseanna and Dianna as they were about to leave.

This is my harvest so far. We cut them up and had them with dinner the other night. What a farmer I am!!!

  1. Where to begin……the tour…..OMG……was HYSTERICAL, I laughed so HARD my ribs hurt and visiting the Indian village and watching the re-inactment of the attack on the village…..WOW…..how powerful that was and soooooooo REAL, I’m still getting the chills thinking about it!!

Parting was very sad because I do MISS YOU AND ANN!!! but as I say NEVER say GOOD BYE it’s always SEE YOU SOON, and I hope I do….LOVE YOU BOTH!!! :)

and……for those of you who periodically read the blog…..I’m the one with usually ALL the crazy memories I like to remind Kathie of and YES, that’s ME on the left with my WONDERFUL mom on the right in the pic.

p.s. now Kathie , go read your email and PLEASE share it with Ann!!! LOL ;~)

  2. Kathie, What can I say? It was a wonderful, wonderful vacation with my 4th daughter.
The tour, the shopping, the relaxation, the card playing, playing with the dogs and cats and the eating of Ann’s wonderful Southern meal were just what I needed.

The 12 hour trip was not as bad as I had anticipated. It was well worth the time spent behind the wheel just to spend time with you, meet Ann, finally get to see Possum Manor for real (not just in pictures), and to recall old and
    WONDERFUL times.

Thanks for the invite and know that I had a FANTASTIC time and that you and Ann and all the pets are missed terribly.

    Luv to all, Roseanna

  3. Thanks for the big chuckle when I saw your “harvest” - !

I’m going to enjoy getting to know you better in these pages!
