I never realized how many projects there would be and how projects never end, when we built this house.
* We bought a big shelving unit for the laundry. On it we moved all the canned and boxed food items. The tiny pantry under the stairs was just getting too confusing. That really made a difference, and we are organized….for the moment.
* When it rained, water dripped ( poured is a better word) between the end of the roof and the gutters. so, yesterday I cut flashing, screwed it into the front roof board and adhered it to the shingles. This took it out of me, let me tell you! Now we have get some spray paint that matches the gutters and paint the flashing.
* I put down the thresholds.
* I started to prepare the front porch for the Halloween decorations. Don’t laugh, we love Halloween, and we go all out. We don’t do gruesome stuff, only fun lights and pumpkins.
* We got a flag pole finally, and we hung our Halloween flag.
* I unloaded the dishwasher. Hahahah true. It is the worst job in the house!
While I did my projects, I:
*Mistakenly put the hot end of an electrical cord in my mouth. My lip is finally not numb.
*Fell off the ladder. It was in slow motion, and I never hit the ground. I gracefully wrapped
myself around a porch pillar and could hear Ann behind me yelling, “Don’t fall into the
fourteen dollar mums!!” We are still laughing.
Ann had taken the weekend off, and we did a lot of laughing. It was a good weekend.
