I took this little video last weekend at Possum Manor West. I enjoy those chickens so much, and they are very little work. Feed, water and clean pen. That is it!
Since last weekend Stella has caught two moles! She brings them in alive, thankfully, and Carrie takes them down the road and releases them. Stella has been digging tunnels in the yard for weeks now, and she finally got successful, and she is only five months old.
one of my dogs is a burrower, although we don’t have moles. One day she actually dug a successful tunnel. Several days later i mowed the lawn and landed in her tunnel, one leg only but thigh deep. I still remember being there, stuck in the yard, trying to figure out what to do with the lawnmower while i extracted myself. It’s a self propelled mower, you know, and all i could imagine was it running wildly unsupervised all over the lawn and killing me while i was half buried. Of course releasing the handle turns it off, but oddly you don’t remember that when you’re ass deep in the yard.
Oh! and i wanted to tell you…in this movie i can really hear your newish drawl!

Another image you should carry….car backs over large plastic planter and then drags it down the driveway. HAHAHA
