I received this email today. I am without words to express how frustrating it is to teach sometimes.
“(Name withheld) came home and told me and his mother that u told him that he cant get all his points for da homework he turned in that day, because u think he might of cheated off another students work, i know for a fact that he did his homework me as well as his mother watched him do it, i dnt understand one min u telling me if do his homework and study outside of class his grades wouldnt b suffering, then da next min u trying not give him credit for what he’s done, im confused it sounds to me like you got a problem wit my son, other than what u telling me.”
I’m at a loss for words….and boy was that hard to interpret..
Sounds to me like a congenital learning disability, although whether it’s nature or nurture…the kid is screwed. Tell the poor boy it’ll be all right, though. After all you’re in the south and he can make a fine living slaughtering chickens just a couple of states away. I also suggest you email the father back and explain to him that you’d give him a great answer except you are not fluent in redneck, which is obviously his native language.
pam, I just spit my diet sunkist all over the monitor!!! lolololol
i don’t know why…usually i am full of little trivia like this, but i honestly don’t know why…but carbonated drinks really make the best rainbows when you spew them on the monitor.
This extremely funny but also extremely sad. I am sorry you are so frustrated and I can see why.
