We promised our niece Ashton that if she waited until she was 18, we would take her for her first legitimate tattoo. She sort of waited. We won’t discuss that. Anyway, she turned 18 and took us up on the offer. We made arrangements with a shop we knew and actually used. She was excited, and she even drew up her own idea for the tattoo. Today was the day. We took her to Freaks & Geeks on Haywood Rd., and Nico had the honor of doing Ashton’s tattoo.

When he started his first line, I kept the camera on Ashton’s face. She did not flinch, not once. She never even cried out, “You’re killing me!” like Ann does during tattoos.
It began with the Ashton’s own personal design made into a stencil. Then he began with the stars. She wanted them chunky.
He then added the swirly things and then added a little bit of color.
I think she was thrilled.
It really is a beautiful tattoo, and one she will be proud to wear. Nico was proud too.

the more i look at it, I love it even more.
And I have other good news, I got the job at Walmart. It isn’t much but its a start. I’m thinkin I’ll have enough seved to go back by graduation.

WOW! You two are pretty cool! My mom flipped when I got my first tattoo and my aunts certainly wouldn’t have gone with me to get it!
