Ann has always wanted to redo a Volkswagen van. She has hunted on Ebay and watched web sites for many years now. Well, she finally found the one she wanted. We have named her Bernice and have given her a separate page on the blog. Above this posting are tabs. Follow Bernice’s restoration by clicking that tab. I think the first edition will be Sunday. Ann wants to do it herself.
Here it is:
Well, that is what it will look like, eventually. That is even the color we have decided to have it painted, when the time/year comes.
Here she is now (You might want to sit down; it is a bit of a shock):
I will let her post the interior photos. I don’t have the heart. hahah The good news is that the new motor had only 5,000 miles one it, all the windows are in, there are front seats, the electrical works, and there is very little rust. Lots of Bondo, but very little rust. I hate to admit it, but I am a little excited too.

Oh, she’s lovely!! Absolutely lovely! I can’t wait to see how she looks with a little clean up! My parents had one when I was a baby. It was cherry red and had a camper top! The question is, will she get up our road?
They guy put in a really big engine when he redid it, so I think getting it up the road will not be a problem. Getting it up without things falling off, well that is another story.
OMG!!! I Love it! I have always wanted a VW Van too. One day I will have it and it will be Tangerine Orange! LOL
Looking forward to seeing Bernice come to life!
