The First Annual Kathie Day!!!!

Drum roll please!  I have twenty four hours that have not been assigned any type of “have to” tasks. Since the beginning of this house, I cannot think of a time I had a whole day to do with as I pleased. Tomorrow I have to get the laundry room (also used as the pantry)  ready to be painted, but today …..nothing. I have no idea how to handle this. One day during the winter I was snowed in by myself for two days, but that does not count because I could not do as I wished.

First I was going to sleep late. Nope, got up at the time I usually get up for work. But that is ok, I will just have a longer Kathie Day.   I plan to go to take the garbage to the garbage place, go to the gym, and get this…..I am going to rent a movie or two!!!!  I will also work on my rug. I have decided to begin again, as I think I know why there are big holes in it.

I will post as I go today. Maybe I will take my little Flip and do some silly videos of my jouney.

Part Two:  It is already 2PM…where did Kathie Day go?  I went on a few errands, took the garbage, bought some striped material for a rug I will someday do, went swimming…..I wore my bathing suit under my clothes to save time. Well, I forgot my underwear!!!!  So I am going comando top and bottom this sunny afternoon!  Picked up a few things at the grocery, and now I am home. Oh I picked up three movies too: Australia, Baby Mama, and that funny but silly one about the Playboy Bunny who becomes a sorority mother for a geek sorority. Looked funny. I will rug and watch….comando.

So far, Kathie Day is a success.

Part Three:  Well, Kathie Day was a success. I watched three movies, took a nap, and worked on my rug. I left dishes in the sink, did not laundry, and broke the screen on my cell phone. hahaha it was a good day.

Here is my rug, so far. I ordered some brightly colored striped material on Ebay today. I think it will be festive to use strips of stripes.

Why do dogs have to go immediately to it and stand on it?  I have a lot to go on the dark green and then I will finish with a rust solid. The light green and the rust already on the rug are prints. It is hard to tell in the photograph.  I do not kno which is the top side and which is the bottom.  I am enjoying it. I think the next one will be more regular.
