I hate to say this out loud, but it is not raining today

Actually, it did not rain yesterday either, but I was afraid to acknowledge it for fear the heavens would open again. It was cold though; I just could not get warm. Today is sunny. Oh boy!

I drove the trailer with the riding mower up to Possum Manor West yesterday. It was not as difficult as I thought it would be. Carrie’s son showed up to help unload it, and I was back to Asheville by early afternoon. Carrie’s garden is really on its way. She has really worked at it. Here is the green house:

She has flowers started, along with broccoli, different tomatoes, and Brussels sprouts. I did not know it was Brussels….I thought it did not have an s.

The peas are in and coming up. I think we are all most excited about the peas, as we all love peas.

Onions here…..ugh, I hate onions, but everyone else seems to think of them as a staple.

My chickens are doing well, but need a psychologist. They take turns sitting in nests for two weeks at a time, and then leave them. Right now one of the Gidgets (Barr Rocks) is sitting, and there is now way any of her eggs are fertilized. They love to eat on this old dog platform. We cut them some grass yesterday. I am going to mow on Friday, so they will have a feast. I will bring them treats too.
