I am/was a city girl. I am absolutely enthralled with the chickens, as you already know.
We had beautiful weather last weekend, and I filmed a bit of the garden.

what a cute video of Cecil performing for us….and like Pam said I would have given anything to see the chickens going after the strings on your pants, lol…..that must have been some sight.;~)
and the garden…..it sounds wonderful…I’m craving strawberries now. lol
i don’t understand the tire thing, but it’s almost inspiring…it’s really hard to grow much in sand, so we don’t garden…although pineapples grow well…and we’ve grown papayas. I’m wondering if i could use old tires to make raised beds so we could actually really grow a couple of things, and i bet i could…so tell me more about tires?
I was going to do potatoes in a bunch of tires we had but it got too hot and I got too lazy. LOL Now, I wish I had.
I keep forgetting to ask Carrie why they potatoes go into tires. Maybe the same reason some people have their chickens in old cars up on blocks….they are there. I know that last year we had a problem with the dogs getting into the garden and digging them up, but I looked on line and a lot of people do it that way.
I will remember to ask.
