I am really getting into these rugs; I guess this is what knits feel! I am working on Donna’s rug now, and I swear each rug is as nice or better than the last. (Again, the color is a bit off. This is really a bright navy blue.)
A close up show it really is a rag rug.
The next rug will be for my friend Jan. She wants black, with flashes of bright colors. It will be an asymetric design, similar to the green one for my sister-in-law. Her are her bright colors for the accents.
I actually have a yellow to add also. When I get around to making one for us, I think I will use all the scraps. I am going to figure out how to do a rectangular one too. Place your orders!
The oops is pretty funny. Every four or five months you have to empty the hot tub, clean it out, and then refill it. I bought this cleaner that you put in the water, run it on high for five minute, run it all night on regular, and then drain it. It says that foam will occur, but if the foam is too much, shut the tub off. I added it, let it run, and went about my business. About a half hour later I just happened to look out the kitchen window.
I think that is what they mean by too much foam. I shut it off.

you know, years ago i was managing a group home, and one of the residents had cleaned up after a meal, started the dishwasher and stuff…then ten minutes later she went back to the kitchen briefly, and decided to “go out for a walk”. A few minutes later i went into the kitchen and discovered that we’d apparently run out of dishwasher soap, so she used regular dish soap. There was a foam glacier working its way across the kitchen. I literally went to the garage, got a snow shovel and shoveled it out the window to the parking lot where i could hose it down….

LOVE my colors! Bubble bath is funny. Ooops! Put Gary in the whirlpool tub and added a little too much soap one time, and Lindsey and I had to bail out the suds. We got two buckets and dumped 2 feet of suds in the stall shower. We laughed til the tears ran down our faces.
How funny is the oooooops, hot tub!!! I’m placing my order for a rug….they are turning out beautifully….I love the blue!!
