Sal and I took the day and drove up the Blue Ridge Parkway. We wanted to go to the Linville Caverns, and decided to take the Parkway, which was probably three times longer, on the way there. It was beautiful. It took us about three hours to get there because we stopped a million times to take photos. We also were forced to follow a family from Florida who could not find the accelerator. Though I used my wonderful camera most of the time, the best picture of Sal I took with my phone. I cannot work with that photo on this computer for some reason, so I will add his photo later.
How did that broccoli get into my picture??
These are the Smoky Mountains, so there was a haze, as usual, in the distance.
Almost makes you want to yodel doesn’t it?
Again, something in my picture!!
This is actually the post office for Linville Falls, North Carolina. Quaint huh?
We had a nice lunch just across from this post office. Then we headed to the Linville Cavern.
These are the trout in the cavern. They live in the dark of the caves and are actually blind. How does one test a trout’s vision?
Inside the caves was quite pretty…damp, but pretty.
It takes 125 years to make a cubic inch….this is old.
When we got back, Ann had received a package that was packed in dry ice; I put it in the sink and made a cloud, just so i could take the picture for Dianna. Dianna loves clouds!
This photo is really hazy….don’t know why all the Sal photos were bad today.(This one was taken with my phone.)

I LOVED the cloud you made inside your house for me, THANK YOU!!!
remember when you did that for me one birthday years ago, lol.
The other cloud pictures are also BEAUTIFUL, and the caves were sooooo pretty.
THANKS again for my special picture!!
