When Sue was here for her visit, we took the Grey Line Trolley tour. My friend Tena is a guide, and I had previously taken the tour minus a camera. Tena’s tour is GREAT!!!
I just never quite understand this sign. Are they warning you there are slow children in the area, or are they asking you to drive slowly? Kind of rude if they are announcing children with special needs.
Just a house I thought was nice.
The dome of a church whose name I have forgotten.
The best example of art deco. It has recently been reopened as a restaurant.
Our friend Carol owns this dessert shop at the Grove Arcade. Her baked goods are delicious. Ann’s favorite is the peanut butter pie, mine is the graham cake. MMMMMMMMMMM
If you look behind the band, you will see an iron. This sits in front of Asheville’s own Flat Iron Building.
This is the Catholic church near the civic center. It is actually a basilica.
We stopped at the Grove Park Inn to look around, and found this man who just stepped off a golf course in Scotland.
The Grove Park Inn has a new spa area made mostly underground and of rock. It is really beautiful and expensive. The average massage is almost three hundred dollars. We just looked.

I love your photo tours. You really do have a great eye, and it’s so easy to get a feel for a place from your photos.
However…i WAS (and perhaps AM) a slow child…
just saying.
But you did not explain what the sign really means.
Like Pam mentioned you really do have an eye for taking pictures, especially the ones when you go on tour.
as for the sign, drive slowly children playing…..you made me laugh when I read the caption above that picture.
