Weird happenings

Sometimes odd things happen at Possum Manor.  Once in a while I am lucky enough to actually have the camera when it happened.

Pippin stalks the chickens. I have plastic draped over the outside of the coop to protect the chickens from the sun and rain. I have the food in that area too, so it stays dry. Ann says she is going to put shingles down that section to make it look better. Pippin hides between the plastic and the coop, watching their every move. Last night he decided to pretend he was vacationing in the Alps.

I would love to be in Brando’s head sometimes.  I caught this photo this morning.  His butt was comfortable.

I awoke to this the other day. It is dog hair, and it reached from my bed to the sofa in the office. I think it is really odd, especially since we do not have a black dog. Xena is black on top, so it must have been her, but how and why? Or did RD make a visit? (PS That is not a huge dirty spot near the sofa, it is a SHADOW.)

Here is little Butter Bean, who is growing like a weed. She is not shy either. She grabs the veggies I toss in their pen, and she runs around as if she caught something.

My first guess on the hair would be to check the dog’s ears. There are generally two doggie parts that generally get rubbed on the floor enough to leave hair like that, and I don’t think either of yours has a black butt. However I have one that gets a lot of ear infections and she tends to leave trails like that occasionally.

Did i mention we ALL want to see way more pictures of Butter Bean?

I am adding one to this post right now. Oh, Dogs have light brown ears inside and out. Mystery hair trail still a mystery.

Pippin must be a male cat. Males like to hunt. Either that or he is being the body guard for the chickens. lol. Can’t help with the mystery hair trail. Never had anything like that with any of my dogs. Cats either. How did you ever get Butter Bean to pose for you?

Pippin is a male cat. He is our great hunter and has brought us gifts that range from snakes to rabbits. He is also the sweetest cat, and is rather shy. I think he is making friends with those chickens.

As for getting Butter Bean to pose, well I just took ten pictures and a couple of them came out great.

As for the mystery of the black hair on the rug, well, it really is a MYSTERY. :)
