HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Possum Manor is ready for Halloween. We have the lights; we have the pumpkins; we have the candy….Er, change that….we did have the candy.  Practical Halloween tip: do not buy candy you like.

As soon as it stops raining I will go take some pictures of the millions of leaves…off the trees. The road is slippery, but it sure is pretty. Tomorrow is suppose to be nice, and I am going to take photos of a friend’s horse.  It will be fun, and I got some carrots today to bribe a smile.

I took this last early today, before the rain came again.  Pippin is practicing blending into the environment so that he can totall take out the mouse population in North Caroliina.

He is a pretty cat.

I think we are done with the children. I also think i scared them…we do not have so many children as normal people do simply because most of the kids in our neighborhood are growing up, i guess…but, see, i went to buy Halloween candy, right? And if the grocery store is selling laffy taffy two for the price of one you get two, right? Okay, so a total of six pounds of laffy taffy is a little excessive. AND we don’t like it so it all has to go. So here i am, take more…take LOTS more…

my little girl dogs looked great in their stylish little tee shirts, and little dude was all tough looking in his cammies…and YES, we dressed up the dogs…well, some of them anyway…

Sprout is now two weeks old…it has been half her lifetime since we have seen video.

Half her lifetime huh? When you put it that way I realize the wrong of my ways. Instead of sitting in those smoky, dark bars, I should be tending to my flock. hahah I will film today if the rain lets up. The tarp I cover them with when it rains, blew off last night, so they some soggy chickens. I gave them extra cabbage and apples this morning. They do not understand daylight savings time (and it confuses me too) so they were squawking at me this morning about being late. I Tried to explain, but they just turned their fluffy butts to me and ate their breakfast.

Did you get pictures of the dogs in costume? You could be a visiting poster here at the ole blog.

I love banana laffy taffy but it sure gives me heartburn.

did you know there are jokes on laffy taffy packages? So picture us, two adults, and trust me when i say we have been adults for a LONG time, (although my behavior would occasionally make you wonder)reading the laffy taffy jokes to each other. The scary part is i GOT a few of them. “why did the chicken cross the playground? To get to the other slide.”

the time change is going to affect me too. Once again either i have to figure out how to reset the clocks in my car and cell phone or i must adjust to mentally adding or subtracting an hour for the next six months. Actually i do not do well with even simple electronics. When we added TIVO i pulled the plug on the television every night. When Patti asked why i gave her some schtick about worrying about lightning. She finally got it that i could not find the off switch.

anyway, the remainder of the laffy taffy is going into the trash. Even in my little neighborhood where we actually know most of the kids it is no longer safe to pop your head out the front door and say “hey kid, you want some candy?” other than on halloween. I can see it now…kid running home to say “Mom, those lesbians down the block must have run out of dog food again, they’re trying to lure me into the house with laffy taffy”.

I was thinking today…dangerous for all…and ya know, Pam, it is a good thing we live a few states apart. We would get into trouble together constantly. I just know it. hahah What fun we would have.

OMG Pam I love laffy taffy, LOL!! :)

It is a very good thing Kathie you and Pam do not live closer. OMG, the trouble and fun you both would have!

*note to self* finish drinking water BEFORE you read Pam’s posts :)
