What would I do without Saturday mornings?

I have the most energy of the week on Saturday mornings. It is now 8:30, and I have bread rising in the kitchen, the chickens are fed, the cats are fed and medicated, and the dogs have gone back to bed. Oh, Ann is still sleeping.

For the most part, the leaves are gone.  We now have those winter views all across the back. It is not as pretty as it is fully green, but it is something.

I finished a rug I plan to give the woman who cleans our classrooms. I am going to wait for Christmas,  as I do not want to her to think she has to return a gift. She speaks very little English, so I will translate the washing directions into Ukraine with the help of a internet translating program.

This is one I am working on for Christmas for someone else. I had better get to work if I want it finished, along with the others I need to make.

Brando is a thief.  We thought he had gotten over it, but obviously he has not.  We always had to put everything up, or we would find it in the backyard.  Clothing, Sal’s sneakers, towels.  Well, this week Ann found my new blue underwear.  She put it on the fence and forgot about it.  Which is worse?

Okay, Brando steals your underwear and carries it outside. Ann hangs it neatly on the fence. And you take pictures of it and post them on the internet. Now, since all this is happening in an area that also sells big underwear as decorative items, what i am thinking is that you ought to have the water tested for mind altering substances. There is clearly something just, you know, wrong about the whole picture.

Neon undies? How ’bout decorating the coop with them? Original idea, low cost since you already own them, up out of the way so Brando can’t steal ‘em, very colorful.

I feel so out of date, I have never worn anything but white cotton..
That blue is a pretty blue though…
Maybe the dog just wants a pair of those for christmas, and trying to tell you that.

    That rug is beautiful

First of all, the underwear is still there…hahahah. Just remembered that. I had forgotten about the time I washed my new underwear with a yellow tshirt. I had yellow underwear for a long time. This was before Brando.

As for the water…I think I will have it tested as I think it is making me do things I never would have done. I worked on building a chicken coop today. I baked two loaves of bread. I live in the middle of the woods, halfway up a mountain. Geesh what is next?
