….to delay school two hours. I like those mornings because they are calmer than the normal rush. Just once I would like to know about the delay before I get up. I watched the scrolling closings at the bottom of the television screen until about 5:20, and when we still were not posted, I got up. I had fed the cats and turned on the coffee pot when the notice appeared. I shut the coffee off and went back to bed.
Brando hates delayed openings because it delays his access to the bed.
I have to remember to make up the bed when I get out, because he does not always wipe his feet.
It was pretty, and the roads were not bad at all.
I keep looking for signs of spring. Ann says I have a few more months; I do not want to hear it. I am planning flowers everywhere!!!!

Ok, I’m really jealous that you have snow and all we keep getting here is rain. LOL I know be careful of what I wish for which is one good snow storm that will close the schools and I will be very happy and Brando looks way too comfy in that bed….LOL

Brando does look comfy. All he needs is a blanket to cover him up and I bet he would spend that day there. lol
I am getting so tired of the cold here in Michigan. In my case, I guess it is because of the blood thinner. I can’t seem to get warm no matter what the furance is set for. Send us some of your warmer weather for a short time.

didn’t you set up shelves in the laundry room or something so you could get plants started in the house for spring? I mean i know it’s not the same having flowers and herbs and stuff growing IN the house, but it could add a small note of cheer in an otherwise gloomy winter, right? And personally i don’t have much of a green thumb, so i don’t try potted plants too much (besides with all my dogs someone is going to try to eat them or piss on them, but i find vases of cut flowers quite refreshing. Perhaps Ann should make bringing you roses a habit?
as to Brando, all i have to say there is that at least he waits for you to get out of bed. I tried to take a nap a couple days ago and found myself in bed surrounded by five dogs, three of whom are at least Brando’s size. At least your boy waits.

We are under a Winter Storm Watch for Friday and Saturday. According to our local paper Western North Carolina should “expect” 10-12 inches of snow(I have heard accumulation total between 6 and 12 inches). I am not real sure how I feel about this.

Oh, I am preparing. I took the propane tank to be filled, I have groceries and dog food, I will fill the bath tub with water, and I will charge the lantern. I am hoping this is not a repeat of the last time. Hopefully, the weak trees fell on the lines last time and the power will not go out. Ann is already prepared and will stay at the other house. Why does this never happen on her days off?
I will be ok if the power stays on. I will be ok if the power goes off too, but I do not want to go through that again.
The weather channel has the snow beginning around noon. That means we will go into school tomorrow and get sent home.
