- I am done with winter. This snow day today puts us into another Saturday school, this time in June. Any snow days from now on will be made up on the Saturday following the missed day. That means do not make plans.
- I wore my underwear backward yesterday. Same pair I did before. Actually, I think they fit better backward, but maybe I need a laundry marker: front/back.
- The low fat banana bread recipe I have makes the best I have ever eaten. Two slices with cream cheese between makes a fantastic breakfast.
- I cannot drink.
- I love apples.
- My chickens are spoiled.
- I wish I had learned how to do those twisty-turny ski jumps.
- Apolo Ohno is oddly attractive.
- I forgot to renew my car tag…..in October.
- My driver’s license expires next week.
- It is so windy that while at the bird feeder, the cardinal’s top feathers were sideways. By the time I got my camera, he was gone.
- I love doing this blog, but sometimes I just cannot connect to my creative side.
What I do know

trust me, your creative side is permanently connected. It’s winter, sort of freezing the connections and blocking access or something. Snow days must really suck. Hopefully there will not be too many more. Patti forgets things like car registrations and driver’s license renewals, so you are not alone. Here, though, it becomes a felony after six months. So, yeah, I live with a convicted felon. It’s okay, though, since i also now live with Don the killer attack dog.
We’re having a storm right now that is supposed to continue on through the night into tomorrow morning. The kids both had half days today. I agree with Pam your always connected to your creative side, LOL. I find it hysterical that you wore the same pair of underwear backwards and didn’t know it, you are so honest it kills me, lol. I’ll be sending you that marker really soon, hahahaha
! How about Pam sending some pictures of sunny florida for you to post, thanks Pam.
Apollo Ohno is very handsome. I only watched short track speed-skating because of him. HAHA
Have you tried that bread recipe I sent to you, yet?
Is the pair of underwear you wore backwards the same one we saw last year hanging out on your fence? You seem to have issues with underwear, or is it just my imagination?
I have never seen anyone more creative than you when it comes to those beautiful photographs you take.
you know, as i read through your list again i am struck by a couple of things. You said you wore your underwear backwards. Then you mentioned you cannot drink. Now i can’t help wondering if the two may somehow be connected, and if we could please have video examples of both?
there are also a few other things you know that might produce excellent videos. (See how i am trying to tweak your creative side here?) For example there may be nothing more wrong with your creative side than that you are jarring it loose along with leaving bits of your forehead and scalp on the chicken coop door- which again would make an excellent video.
so how long does it take an egg to hatch? And what are we going to name the new baby?
No there is a fine line….other people’s blood is funny…mine is not.
The egg takes thirty days to hatch, which should put it around the 19th of March. That was my mom’s birthday, so I think we will call it Lucille.
Also, I think showing you the underwear on the fence was as intimate as I am going to get here. And no, it was not the same pair. The fence pair is still soaking in sanitizer.
ah, Kathie, we’ve already been WAY more intimate than underwear on the fence. We’ve seen body parts, you know?
Lucille sounds like a great name…unless it ends up being, you know…Lester or something.
Did Little Sprout turn out to be female then? Do you still know which one is Lil Sprout?
If the new chick turns out to be male, you could always name him Dave or David, after your brother. HEHEHE Bet he would love you for that one. Or what about your father’s name, which I am drawing a blank on now?
I got a Dalmatian from the Human Society 10 years ago (the one who just died last year) and his name was Charlie when we got him. I had to change the name because my brother Chuck did not like that. My Mom always called him Charlie. So we changed the name to Chip.
When do we get to see more pictures of the Chickens, including Little Sprout?
