Between the squirrels, ducks and deer, I have to constantly refill my feeders. The deer are nice enough to nudge them over so the ducks and squirrels can eat the seeds off the ground. So much for a squirrel-proof feeder.
I figure they all have to eat, but I do often shoo them away. The birds will still come while the squirrel is hanging there, so that is good. Yesterday there were four on the deck. Sometimes Brando will bark them away, but usually it is too much effort for him.
Donna’s dog, Jack, hates squirrels and all you have to do is mention the word and he is ready to attack (He is a little dog, and is brave from inside the house. I don’t think he would know what to do with one if he caught one.) That is what we need here. I may have to borrow him.
We are actually going to have school today. Off I go!
