Just so you know, Ann tried to poison me tonight

I have a doozy of a cold.  It started in my chest and has traveled north to my head today. I have absolutely no sense of taste or smell.  Ann made potato soup for dinner. It looked good, and I thought it would feel good, so I had a bowl. Well, all I could taste was jalapeno peppers.  In fact, my mouth was on fire.  Oddly enough she showed me there were no jalapenos in there at all.  There was a bit of salt and a bit of pepper, but I swear it was hotter than the bean dip at our favorite Mexican restaurant. So odd that having a cold really messes with the taste buds.

She is still laughing.

That is pretty funny, although I do feel for you because colds are wicked and yes they do mess with your sense of taste and smell.

well, just for the record hatch green chilies (which aren’t really all that hot) have the highest vitamin c content of anything natural…so when i get colds i make green chili soup.
