I have not had the energy to do much for the last week. We only have a three day spring vacation, and I have done absolutely nothing. I kept trying to get rid of this cold, and I just could not. I have kept the entire mountain up all night listening to me cough. I have spent most night in the recliner. This morning I actually felt worse and gave in and went to the doctor. I have pneumonia. They did chest x-rays, and I even saw it. I had a breathing treatment, and they sent me off with lots of different medications. I guess I will spend the last day of my vacation, Tuesday, doing nothing. I am getting good at it.
I did get a video of the chickens today. Lucille is getting big and feisty.
I am sure the doctor gave you a little note so you could take off more than Tuesday, right? And hopefully good drugs so you can at least not cough as much, sleep lying down and mask enough symptoms to feel a little better? Heh- they always try to give me codeine…but when you combine codeine with the ADHD it does really weird things to me…not weird enough to make it worth being sick- but almost.
Seriously, i hope you feel way better soon, but please try to give yourself time to recover completely…the little turds at school probably gave it to you anyway…so they do not deserve to watch you suffer.
I have never had pneumonia before. It gave me the opportunity to learn to spell it. No one mentioned not going to work. I will see how I feel, as I do have lots of sick days. I slept last night without keeping the county awake, so that is good. My cough is rumbly today but not as deep. I have not gagged. lol
Codeine does odd things to me too, and I do not have ADHD…or maybe I do. I tend to feel as if I am floating just above the bed, but I do not sleep.
Wish me luck today, I am going to attempt to bathe Xena. I realized that all the white on her is no longer white, but orange. Good ole southern clay.
Sorry to hear that you have pheumonia. I have had a sinus cough for the last 6 weeks and nothing helps. I have been to the doctor twice and the drugs do not help. I am not able to take codiene because it gives me a rach, keeps me up and I feel like I am on a high all the time. Besides, it does not help me at all.
Like to new video of the chickens. Do they eat any type of vegetables or fruit that you give them?
Feel better soon. And I agree with Pam, give your self time to recover from this before you return to your normal schedule.
I would call the doc and get a note for a few days off. You need the rest. Pneumonia is nasty stuff and can take a while to get completely over it.

I am going into work this morning. Sometimes figuring out lesson plans for a sub is much more stressful than going in. I am starting new units in each of my classes, so it is a bad day to be out. I also have a parent conference at 1:30.
I am feeling better, and I am not coughing as violently as I was. I am taking massive doses of antibiotic and it is really messing up my stomach. I will come home and do nothing.
Glad to hear your a wee bit better. Like Becky said pneumonia is nasty and can whip your butt and have you feeling miserable for a very long time, as you know already. Glad to hear you will be going home and resting. I will call, but I want you to feel a little bit better first. Talk soon.

We have Direct TV, and I have been watching cop shows all day. I am honestly so bored I cannot even read or work on my rug. I have not done any work other than load the dish washer. Honest.
