Odd weather. Sunny most of the day, and then it rains and sometimes hails. Then it is sunny again. This has been the pattern for days and days. It did not stop me from having a good weekend, though.
I took time to read a good book, clean, and make ice cream (which was mighty good I have to say.). Today I did laundry and talked to my cousin for two hours. That’s what happens when you do not talk but once a year. Ann and I are going to Home Depot when she gets back from work. We are also going to our favorite South/Central American restaurant. I needed a relaxing few days, and I got them. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I checked my camera to see if there were any photos I had not posted that might be of interest. I forgot about these:
Once a week or so we give the dogs each a fresh egg…the whole egg, shell and all. Each time they act excited, and then get confused as to what to do with them. At some point they each will drop it, thus breaking the shell. Then they figure it all out. They eat the egg, and then they eat the shell. We get a kick out of watching.
We have not burned all the wood from the hot tub yet, because it has rained every day. Today, I looked out and there was Pippin:
But why? I thought it was such an odd place to take a nap that I took a photo of it with my phone and sent it Ann. Then I came out of the house to this:
Now Maudie was resting comfortably on a pile of jagged lumber. I don’t get it, but I am not going to try if out for myself.

Doesn’t the egg shells hurt their stomach when the dogs eat them? I know eggs are good for their coat.
Maybe it is warm and dry where the cats are laying. Looks like it is sunny there too, so maybe they are taking turns sunning themselfs. lol
Okay, i read the egg thing and immediately wanted to try it. Here’s the thing, though. i have poodles. Three of them are not large enough to get a damn egg into their mouths. I would have to buy like quail eggs. Two of them are not even big enough to get YOUR eggs into their mouths.
Now, that still leaves three dogs. Okay. SO then i picture what could happen. Remember they are weird dogs. So at least one of them would rill in the egg, resulting in me having to wash a poodle. The other two would not have a clue what to do, but they would fight over the eggs.
AND the little dogs would get all pissy at me because i gave the big dogs something they can’t eat.
PATTI is going to see egg on the floor, and probably on at least one poodle. Then i am going to get yelled at AND have to wash a poodle. AND the floor.
And one of my poodles is dumb as a bag of hammers, would have no clue what to do with an egg, but she would go show it to Patti before she dropped it on the floor, caused a dog fight, and then rolled in it.
All things considered i think giving my dogs eggs would be a really bad idea. And now i have to go try it.
I hope the egg shells do not hurt them, and so far they have been ok. The cats are laying on wet lumber. Crazy cats.
Pam, the trick is to give the dogs the eggs OUTSIDE. Let me know if they figure out the mysterious egg.
It must be very funny watching the dogs with the eggs and who would of thought a pile of jagged wood could be a comfortable bed.
