Changes

They guy who wanted to barter for our old chicken tractor finally came by yesterday.  In exchange for the coop, he pulled two rocks up the hill, and he dug two post holes. In hind sight, I think we were on the losing end of the deal, but they were things we really wanted done.

Here you see it…

Now you don’t…

The big rock he brought up is going to be a barrier on the side of the driveway.  It was not an easy task, but he had a big truck and a thick chain. For years, I thought this rock was a fallen tree. It is that big.

Ann wanted a second rock hauled up also. I thought she wanted it for her rock garden, but found out she had wanted it in a different part of the yard.  Well, moving this should be interesting.

Holes. There are two of them. We are going to put a bird house on top of one post and a feeder on the other. We will do it tonight or tomorrow. Obviously, photos will follow.

That HUGE rock does look like a fallen tree. Where does Ann want to put that other big rock, just curious.

Well, I am not sure Ann knows where she wants that rock, but I am going to make sure she does before we both get hernias trying to get it there.

Where is everyone? I have a couple of good blogs coming. One with a photo of me totally unconscious in a hospital bed. hahah Not a big deal, but a minor procedure. I will explain, complete with photos.

I’m here. Nice pictures of your yard. I wouldn’t move that rock much either. I have a few that need to be moved, but I don’t think I will do it. Last thing I need right now is to hurt my new knees.

Okay, that kind of teaser really sucks, you know?

So the hospital procedure blog needs to happen very soon

I think the big rock really looks good attached to the rock garden…
so maybe Ann can find another one to put someplace else? However, IF you decide to move it, there IS a kind of easier way- there is an archaic device actually called a “stone boat” that farmers in the north use to clear the rocks out of freshly plowed fields. You could construct one relatively easily- and i think your lawnmower actually has enough oomph to handle a stone that size. Not to mention that it’d give Ann yet another thing to burn once the rock is repositioned. Or give Y’all a way to haul some more big rocks up the hill.

I hope your alright and the suspense is killing me!
