Rambles…..

This is going to be a rambling thought post. I hope to add to it during the day.  Might be boring; might be funny.

  • A kid told me my assignment was bullshit yesterday. She is out for two days. And, it was not bullshit; it was just that I did not let her hand it in AFTER we went over it.
  • Butter Bean is setting. We do not have room for anymore chickens, so I took the eggs. She sat on nothing. I felt so badly that I put an old egg under her, knowing it would never hatch. Now she sets on that one. I feel even more badly.  I spoke to the agriculture teacher this morning. He said just take the eggs out of under her. She will eventually give up.  I still feel badly. However, I know myself, and I would not give it up once it was hatched.
  • We have EarthLink internet at the Possum Manor West. Carrie has just switched to something cheaper, and I was going to cancel when the bill came. Those buggers took an unauthorized payment from out account. I am on the war path. They will not refund the money because it was a payment. I am going to talk to the bank about blocking them.
  • I am making a Martha Stewart recipe for muffins with strawberry  butter cream frosting. for a get together I am going to on Saturday evening.  The whole recipe take almost a pound of butter. They must be good.
  • I have always been a television addict. I am into reality tv now, but not The Bachelor or stuff like that. I love Survivor and Amazing race, even though I lost track of the race this season. Most of this stuff is over until the fall. Maybe I will read more. We love Nurse Jackie, Medium and Saving Grace. Ann loves Breaking Bad too. I think we are two of a small number of people who do not watch Dancing With the Stars. We also both think Nineteen Kids and Counting should be taken off.
  • In my first period class this morning, five out of fourteen did not have pens. How does that happen?  My mom always use to make sure we had supplies before we left the house. She always checked my skirt length too, but I would roll that at the bus stop.
  • Second period a kid with a 3 average, asked me what he needed to earn on the final to pass the class for the semester. I replied, “Act of God.”
  • Watching the scene in Great Gatsby where Tom breaks his mistress’ nose. One boy laughed and asked if I would show that part again. One of the girls blasted him with, “There is never a time where abuse of a woman is funny!”  I love those kids that will stand up for what they believe.

I will get out and take some picture this weekend. Have a great Friday all.

I will admit to watching 19 kids and counting. It is like a train wreck you just can’t look away from! hahaha
I don’t watch DWTS and never have. So not appealing to me. I don’t even watch Amazing Race anymore and I stopped watching Survivor 3 or 4 seasons ago. The only reality show I still watch is Big Brother.
I watch shows like The Tudors(the last season) and Warehouse 13(coming into the 2nd season).

grey’s anatomy, house and bones and, yeah, i admit it- celebrity apprentice just because it is so damn tacky…only i watch it all on the computer when i have time and want to. I do not think the TV in my room has been plugged in for a year, and i don’t know how to turn on the one in the den since we got tivo and a new remote.

Second period a kid with a 3 average, asked me what he needed to earn on the final to pass the class for the semester. I replied, “Act of God.” This if FUNNY!!

My favorite show that I watch is Army Wives.

yeah, i also think the “act of God” thing is a classic line.

you know, you keep threatening to write books- i think one of classic school lines- students AND teachers- would be great.
