it’s raining here- which will sort of put a damper on some celebrations if it keeps up- and i admit to hoping it will keep up. Florida is one of those states with fireworks stores all over the place- in fact they even sell em in grocery stores for the holidays.
that wouldn’t be so bad if i didn’t have two dogs i have to drug during a severe thunderstorm. During hurricanes i drug myself right along with them. I am a wimp and i will admit it.
yeah, and i also will admit to feeling stupid about not being able to identify the K.
oh, and check this out- i was in a thrift store yesterday and bought a rowing machine. I have wanted one forever because it’s like a complete works every major muscle group at the same time thing, and i am too damn lazy to do more than one thing. I sent out a freecycle email to move out my stationary bike. So now i should be rowing through Mordor and stuff.
oddly i am re-reading the trilogy now- well, actually i started with the hobbit, so it’s four books, but i don’t know a big word for that…but what i actually do is plug a dvd into the computer and play it only when i am- well, it’ll be rowing now, used to be biking…
anyway…the lord of the rings are great dvds for that…and the books seem even better after having seen that several times.
i haven’t actually got a kindle yet, but kindle for PC is very cool, and a friend just gave me some amazing weird collections of books. So aside from the bestseller crap i usually read anyway i’ll be working my way through lord of the rings, and then the entire collection of L. Frank Baum books (wizard of OZ and the forty or so books that follow it, followed by any number of other odd books. Maybe technology isn’t so bad after all.
I LOVE LOTR!! I have read the books a few times and I watch the movies a lot (but that might be because My Viggo is in them )
I have the Kindle for iPod Touch/iPhone and I love it! I can get a book in less than a minute and for me, it’s cheaper than driving to a book store. There are some books that I still want a hardcopy for but for the most part, I get all my books now through Kindle Store!
I am finally starting to see my weight loss. I uploaded a new Facebook profile picture and was comparing them to the previous ones and I was quite astonished! Progress is a wonderful thing….especially when I finally start to see what I have been told! I have been walking and water running (my own term). My calves are so sore that I took today off….It hurts to walk across the room let alone for 30 minutes. But, I will have to start back up tomorrow or I will lose my momentum.
Happy Fourth!! We set off some little piddly “don’t leave the ground” fireworks tonight after it got dark….Now I’m done! hahahahaha
As for the Kindle….Donna has one here this week AND I WANT ONE!!! Probably for Christmas. If I go on her account, I can have all the books she has bought already. I have the app on my phone too, but it is easier to read on the kindle, plus it works with Audible.com.
I will go back to the pool this week. I do sleep better after the exercise.

Ok, I have to admit, I had to look up Mordor. I get it now. lol I never read any of trilogy.
