I drove to see Carrie at Possum Manor West today. The weather called for rain most of the day, but I challenged the prediction and rode the whole way with the top down. While I was there it thundered, lightening, and poured rain.
I took this at the overlook on the way home.
On the way home I decided to treat myself to an ice cream corn, so I pulled off into Bryson City. Little did I know that there was a Tommy the Train festival going on. Geesh. What a mad house. I did get my ice cream cone, butter pecan and mint chocolate chip. Mighty good.
I came home and look what I found:
My first tomato!!!! Keep watching for growth photos. Following by it being eaten!!

That picture is beautiful and glad you enjoyed your ice cream cone. Now if it had been my cone it would have been filled will some kind of chocolate or double chocolate with chocolate peanut butter ice cream. YUMMMMM!! Reases pieces sunday anyone, lol!! I also love the fact that you have a tomatoe growing and look forward to more tomatoe pictures in the future.
Again, professional quality photos. So lovely.
okay, i just found a great reason to visit possum manor.
there are NO good tomatoes in florida.
i do not know why they do not taste good here- but they do not.
i had to go north a couple of years ago- and i swear i lived for a week on corn on the cob and fresh tomatoes- and i would go north again just for that. the difference is unbelievable.
