I go back to school two weeks from yesterday. It is still July….so depressing.
I watched an episode of “Mystery Diagnosis” this morning, and this afternoon I am sure I have symptoms of three very odd and weird diseases. I am not going to watch again.
I bought two baskets of peaches yesterday, so I could can today.
I only got one basket done, nine quarts of peaches for the middle of winter.
I think I will freeze the second basket. It still means peeling and cutting them, but it needs to be done. No wonder my back aches this afternoon.
This is what the chickens do to a half of cantaloupe.
They eat it down to the rind.
I made a lot of biscotti and mandlebrot (another form of hard cookie). Sal is coming next week, and he likes them a lot. Ann and I like them too, and I hope there will be some left for Sal. lol
I need a nap. Those symptoms of mysterious illnesses can be tiring.

Patti keeps looking at your blog mumbling “i like peaches”so like what can i send you in exchange for preaches so that Patti can stop looking at me with crazy eyes?
I plan on sending you a quart, along with grape jelly, by the end of the summer. Tell Patti to just hold on. lol
The peaches look delicious!! I love how the chickens eat the cantaloupe until there is nothing left, hahahaha. Kathie, this is why I love you, you crack me up, “I watched an episode of “Mystery Diagnosis” this morning, and this afternoon I am sure I have symptoms of three very odd and weird diseases.” I want to know more about these symptoms, lol.
oy, Dianna, i have few filters and even i did not ask about symptoms. I was afraid to. Have you ever watched one of those shows?
ooops, my filter button must have been off again. I think I have watched maybe 2 of the shows and yes they are scary, but I’m so damn curious about things like this, I sometimes forget that I shouldn’t ask and I just do.
Kathie, you are a canning machine! i need to come to Kathie’s Canning Camp for a crash course
Come back and we will can day and night.
