I promise to fill this space with a blog sometime this weekend. Honest.

So I think that we need to fill this space for Kathie since we are all dying to see new stuff and Kathie must be too busy or too tired to accomodate us. I could present a poem, but fortunately for you, I will not attempt it. Since I can’t get into the server, I can’t post pictures, so I guess I can only ramble. So here are things you should know about me:
I am a staunchly loyal friend
I HATE to sweat!
I LOVE winter the best
I think beets and brussle sprouts are disgusting foods
My feet are ticklish
I love to sew
I read romance novels
I think I sometimes snore in my sleep
I have always lived within 20 miles of where I was born in Detroit
I LOVE reading Kathie’s blog.
Now it’s someone else’s turn….
I’ll go!!
I haven’t crocheted a stitch since November
I text like crazy
I will be 40 this week
I love a good trashy novel
I have a thing for Ancient Egypt
I once stapled my thumb and didn’t realize it until it swelled to three times normal size.
I wanted to be a little person when I was a child.
I love cold, dark, stormy or snowy days.
I am not a football fan.
I think I could design the perfect cell phone.
Next…
I have some videos uploading, but I want to join this too.
I have known Jan since elementary school, but we lost touch for about twenty years.
Becky is Ann’s niece, but if we saw more of each other I think we would end up really good friends.
I have known Pam for a very long time, but we have only every met in person once.
Norma and I went to elementary school together also, and she lived in my neighborhood.
When I was a kid, I wanted my name to be Lana.
I love beets but hate onions with a passion.
I am a terrible snorer, just ask Ann.
I would feed every animal I saw, if I could.
Give me ten dollars, I will spend twenty.
I always loved winter until the last one.
I want a goat.
Okay, I’ll play.
beets and brussels sprouts are probably my favorite veggies. I like onions, too.
I know HOW to sew, including some tricky embroidery stitches, but most of my friends would be amazed to know that.
i do not usually like romance novels and i skip over most of the gratuitous sex in any novel. I do like the generally trashy murder mysteries, though.
when i was little I wanted to be a vet. Then i wanted to be an engineer. My mother was convinced that it was unlikely that i would survive to be anything when i grew up. She used to carry around a “get out of jail free” card from a Monopoly game. She would pull it out and tell me she was going to use it right after she killed me.
I do not love winter.
How could I have forgotten Dianna? I have know Dianna since she was a sophomore in high school. She was out of school for a semester due to some twisted something near her kidney. I was her tutor. She often refused to do school work, so I threatened to take her dog. It was then that I was adopted by her family. They are still important to me.
I am basically a loner….ask Kathie.
I over-think and over-ponder the process and outcome of every possible scenario before taking on any situation….ask Kathie.
I love crude, dark, off-color humor….ask Kathie.
I am an extremely private and introverted person….to a fault…ask Kathie.
I only enjoy reading non-fiction and believe all romance novels and romantic-comedy movies are the product of Satan….ask Kathie.
I miss R.D., the greatest dog ever born, and talk to him while I am in the shower each morning…..ask Kathie.
I love to work outside….ask Kathie.
Kathie and I had the same mothers, just different names….ask Kathie.
I constantly make excuses for other people’s bad behavior, which drives Kathie INSANE!….ask Kathie.
I am extremely soft-hearted but, by golly, no one will ever know it
….ask Kathie.
I have the ability to be one cold bitch at work, which my job requires, and that scares me sometimes….ask Kathie.
I hate pickles, but love cucumbers….ask Kathie. (I have never understood why anyone would put something sour on a burger!!!)
I think “Family Guy” is a Pulitzer Prize winning television show. Either you get it or you don’t….ask Kathie, she doesn’t.
Pinto beans, smothered in mayo, homemade sweet chow-chow, and valdalia onions, is the nectar of the gods…..don’t ask Kathie.
Kathie made me do this and it is like pulling teeth….ask Kathie.
Ann
OK, it is my turn, although I am not sure what to say.
Yes, Kathie and I grew up together, in the same neighborhood. I am sure her and I can come up with a lot of stories about our childhood, but I won’t here.
I was married for 18 years. I have 2 beautiful twin daughters – matched pair. Ask Kathie’s brother who can remember who is who after meeting them over a year ago. And now they have their own families.
I have sewn ever since I was little. I think I have made eerything there is possible to make except a wedding dress. My latest sewing is quilting. I am been learning all I can while I am working. I hope to do a lot more when I retire.
Love animals all my life. I have lived with in 20 miles of where I grew up all my life. Most of my life, I have lived next door to where I grew up. Guess it is time to move to some place more adventures. Love northern Michigan.
Now I am brain dead. Time for some one else.
“I over-think and over-ponder the process and outcome of every possible scenario before taking on any situation”
Ann, if nothing else proves that we are related….THIS does! I do this all the time and it drives me and everyone else absolutely batty! Hahaha
Being that it is Labor Day, I will add:
I always believed there was honestly a Fashion Police because my mother told me it was AGAINST THE LAW to where white after Labor Day or before Easter.
I also thought church was closed during golf season, because my dad golfed on Sunday mornings, and then we did not go to church.
Also thought I was born at the baby department of Sears, because my mom would say, “Let’s go to the baby department,” and eventually I ended up with a brother and a sister. I supposedly told her one day, “No more baby department. We have enough now.”
Pam, I love the Get Out of Jail Free card business. I wish I could use that at school.
If there was the true Fashion Police, the law was no white after Labor Day AND before Memorial Day! (Sometimes Easter came too early to allow the wearing of white.)
I love the “Get out of Jail card”, the “baby dept at Sears” and “romance novels are the work of Satan”. Gosh you keep me laughing!!
My mom’s rule was Easter, because that is the day we got to wear pastel to church.
i used to over think and over ponder everything- then one day i just gave up and now i tend to go sort of rushing into anything that makes me want to ponder. I do not know which is worse, but not thinking is far less stressful.
i live in Florida. Apparently we are exempt from the fashion police.
and golf season is year round.
Pinto beans turn me into a walking biohazard.
my personal favorites here are the baby department and the fact that Kathie made Ann comment.
Gee, I go away for a weekend amd niss all the FUN!! HAHAHAHA
I think i’ll go next, what to say, what to say, lol. I’ve known Kathie since I’ve been 15 years old, yes, she was my tutor because of a birth defent I have in my left kidney. I did REFUSE to do my homework, what a rebel I was, lol, until honestly she did threaten to take my dog away and I beleived her. What a sucker I was! That still makes me laugh to this day and the dog was so jealous of her giving me attention that she had to feed him dog bisquits practically the whole time she was tutoring me, it was just too funny. The best was after my schooling time she would stay an extra 1/2 an hour or so and we would play atari, it was the BEST!! We bonded so in the six months that she is family!!
Some other interesting facts about me, I too tend to over think and worry to much about everything and it’s a terrible way to be I wish I could just relax more and make decisions or NOT worry about things. I LOVE all foods, LOL, that’s why I am trying to lose weight right now, hahaha.
My mom and I joined a gym so I can seriously try to lose some of this weight and the best part is I LOVE GOING!!
My FAVORITE television show is Army Wives!
I LOVE this blog, it was GREAT to get to know different facts about everyone now all we need is a PICTURE to go with the names.
I am sooo glad Kathie made Ann post because I know more about her than
I had and know I feel as though I have known her forever.
This has got to be one of my favorite blogs and I hope it continues because I LOVE meeting new people their interests and their hobbies and what they do, I’m a people watcher and this blob is truly great, thanks Jan for starting it.
ooopps, forgot to mention, getting the kids ready for school for Wednesday and my little guy, who is now a big guy starts all day KINDERGARTEN
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Becky!!
Thanks a bunch!!
Another thing I like to do is take pictures of clouds and rainbows. I LOVE Rainbows!
